Phil Stephenson
An experienced international HR professional, Phil has held Corporate and Regional VP positions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. His successful track record includes 30 years in the international hotel industry with Shangri-La Hotels as corporate VP of Human Resources, and with the InterContinental Hotels Group. At IHG his responsibilities covered up to 5,000 employees across 28 different countries.
Phil is a qualified psychologist specialising in psychometric assessment, but he has a broad range of expertise including: HR strategy; organisation design and development; workforce planning; recruitment and assessment; compensation and benefits; training and development; and hotel openings. During his expatriate career, Phil has lived and worked in the UAE; Egypt; Greece; Sultanate of Oman; Netherlands; Hong Kong; and China.
In addition to his hotel experience, Phil has also worked in the engineering industry, and was most recently Vice President of HR, EMEA for Johnson Diversey, based in Amsterdam.
